72Introduction
Want to show off to friends and family with long words that don't even know showing them you can spell and know the meaning of it, how about testing yourself on twisting tongue twisters. I remember the days when tongue twisters were said to other students testing who could sucesfully say the tongue twister. People failed, little succeded.
Tongue twisters
Classic well-known tongue twisters
Betty Botter bought some butter,
"But," she said, "this butter's bitter.
If I bake this bitter butter,
It will make my batter bitter.
But a bit of better butter -
That would make my batter better."
So she bought a bit of butter,
Better than her bitter butter,
And she baked it in her batter,
And the batter was not bitter.
So 'twas better Betty Botter
Bought a bit of better butter.
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck
If a woodchuck could chuck wood?
He would chuck, he would, as much as he could,
And chuck as much wood as a woodchuck would
If a woodchuck could chuck wood.
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
Did Peter Piper pick a peck of pickled peppers?
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
Where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?
She sells seashells on the seashore.
The shells she sells are seashells, I'm sure.

My favorite tongue twister goes like this: BETTY BOTTER BOUGHT SOME BUTTER, BUT SHE SAID THIS BUTTER'S BITTER, AND IF I PUT IT IN MY BATTER, IT WILL MAKE MY BATTER BITTER. BUT IF I BUY SOME BETTER BUTTER, BETTER THAN THE BITTER BUTTER, AND I PUT IT IN MY BATTER, IT WILL MAKE MY BATTER BETTER. SO BETTY BOTTER BOUGHT SOME BETTER BUTTER, BETTER THAN THE BITTER BUTTER AND SHE PUT IT IN HER BATTER AND IT MADE THE BATTER BETTER. Now that's the way we say it in the States. I know, because I mastered it over fifty years ago, as a young girl, and I've been able to say it ever since. I really did like your hub though.
I love these long words. I can successfully say that I am the only one of my friends that can say both Antidisestablishmentarianism and Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia without missing a beat. Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobiaalsocurrently happens to be my favorite word for two reasons. 1. It is extremely fun to say. And 2. I love the irony. I can also spell antidisestablishmentarianism without pauses!!
